What is NLP?

 

We are all born with the same basic neurological functions yet it is apparent that peoples across the world function differently and see their world in different ways.  These perceptions are all aspects of function and processing of our neurological system.  NLP is concerned with learning to think more effectively and therefore behave in a more effectual way in our day to day activities.

 

The history of NLP is rooted in behavioural psychological science.  Its inception is found in the work of Skinner and Pavlov in the early 1900s.

 

It was Richard Bandler and John Grindler, a professor of linguistics, who developed the study we now recognise as Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

 

 

Who might find NLP useful?

 

Applications of NLP are taught to doctors, nurses, sales people, public speakers, coaches, elite sporting athletes, leaders of industry, teachers, parents, teenagers and children to name but a few.

 

 

NLP may:

 

v     Improve any skill which requires optimal personal achievement, development and effectiveness.

v     Help with limiting habits and addictions such as smoking or weight management. 

v     Be effective in managing phobias for example, fear of spiders or snakes, flying, fear of heights or maybe public speaking.

v     Be useful for learning challenges such as dyslexia, ADHD, etc.

v     Be useful for achieving sporting excellence and success.

We invite you to attend an initial meeting regarding our NLP Programme.  During this meeting we will ask you specific questions aimed at understanding what your difficulties, or challenges, are and how they are affecting you.

 

We will then be able to explain:

 

• About the type of therapies used and how they will work.
• The positive changes that can be achieved.
• The expected time frame involved.
• The cost of  the sessions.

 

Once we know what your specific problems are, we can then answer any questions you might have more completely and accurately.

 

There is no fee for this initial meeting.
